Welcome your little one with a timeless collection of newborn and baby portraits. At our Claregalway studio, we create gentle, natural photographs of babies on their own and with parents or siblings, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and breaks. Flexible Timing: Many newborn sessions take place during the first 5–14 days, when babies are often sleepier and naturally curled. However, beautiful newborn portraits can also be created later. Contact us during pregnancy with your due date so that we can provisionally reserve time around it.
Our Approach
We work gently and intuitively with each baby’s natural rhythm, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and breaks. Whether posed or candid, the goal is always to create meaningful images that highlight your baby’s features, connections, and emerging personality. Safety is our priority; every pose and position is baby-led, with constant supervision and support. You’ll never feel rushed, and we’re happy to involve parents and siblings where desired.
Milestone Sessions for Growing Babies
In addition to newborn portraits, we offer photography sessions for key milestones, including:
- Three months (lifting head, first smiles)
- Six months (sitting unaided)
- First birthday (including optional cake smash)
- “Watch Me Grow” packages with multiple sessions across baby’s first year
How It Works
- Reserve Your Session: Contact us during pregnancy with your expected due date. Once your baby arrives, we will confirm a suitable session date. For older babies, we arrange the session around their usual feeding and sleeping routine.
- Prepare for the Day: We’ll guide you on what to bring and how to dress baby (and yourselves) for the session.
- Relax & Enjoy: We take care of everything. Your job is to sit back while we gently photograph your baby’s story.
- Choose Your Portraits: Whenever possible, we recommend returning to the studio to view your photographs and discuss the available options personally with the photographer. Digital files, albums and framed portraits are available.
**If distance makes this impractical, low-resolution proof images can be supplied for online viewing and selection.
Where We Work
Newborn and baby sessions normally take place at our dedicated studio in Claregalway, County Galway. For milestone or first birthday shoots, we can also arrange outdoor locations in the Galway area or travel to your home or a location of your choosing.
